Entry Requirements

Valid Passport

Must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your travel dates. Ensure you have at least 2 blank pages.

Return/Onward Ticket

Proof of return or onward travel is required at immigration. A confirmed flight booking is sufficient.

Tourist Card ($10)

A $10 tourist card is required but has been included in airline ticket prices since April 2018. No separate purchase needed.

Stay Duration: 30 Days

Tourist entry allows up to 30 days. Extensions available at the immigration office (Dirección General de Migración) for $1,500 DOP (~$26 USD).

Travel Insurance

Not mandatory but strongly recommended. Many travel insurance plans cover medical emergencies, trip cancellation, and lost luggage.

Health Requirements

No mandatory vaccinations for most travelers. COVID-19 vaccination is no longer required as of 2023. Yellow fever certificate needed if arriving from endemic areas.
